 Submission Instructions

Thank you for your interest in the Marcel Spears Scholarship!

We are excited to award the scholarship to two individuals who demonstrate creativity, confidence, and performance potential.

 

Video Requirements

• Videos must be 2 minutes or less

• No TikTok videos or videos with filters/effects, please

• Students may perform one of the following:

  • A monologue

  • A commercial

  • A scene

 

Video Quality

Please make sure:

• The video is clear and easy to see

• The audio is easy to hear

• The student stands in front of a clean, simple background

• There is little to no outside noise or distractions

 

Slate Instructions

Before beginning the performance, the student should clearly state:

• Their name

• Their age

• What they will be performing

Example:
“Hello, my name is Jordan Smith, I am 11 years old, and I'll be performing a monologue.”

 

How to Submit

Please email all video submissions to:

Please be sure to include a parent's name and cellphone number in the email,

so we can contact you if your child is selected as the scholarship recipient.

Subject Line Format:
MS Scholarship – Your Child’s Name

Example:
MS Scholarship – Jordan Smith

 

Submission Deadline

All video submissions must be received by Friday, May 22nd.
